<h3><a name="top">Platform Event Alert Destinations</a></h3>
<p>Use this window to select a destination where an alert for a platform event is to be
sent. Depending on the number of destinations that displays on your system, you can
configure a separate IP address for each destination address. A platform event alert <font
color="#000000">is</font> sent to each destination IP address that you configure.</p>
<p>Your system displays a number of destinations. Click the number of the destination you
want to configure.</p>

<h4>Destination Number</h4>
<p>When you click a destination number, a separate window opens, allowing you to enter an
individual IP address for that destination. This IP address is the IP address to which the
platform event alert <font color="#000000">is</font> sent.</p>
<h4>State</h4>
<p>You can set the State to either of two settings: Enabled, in which case the platform
event alert <font color="#000000">is</font> sent to the Destination Number you entered; or
Disabled, in which case an alert is not sent. </p>
<h4>Destination IP Address</h4>
<p>This field displays the information, if any, that is entered for each destination using
the <a href="SetPEFD.html">Set Platform Event Alert Destination</a> window.</p>
<h4>Destination Configuration Settings</h4>
<p>Enter a value in the <b>Community String</b> field to act as a password to authenticate
messages sent between a management station and a managed system. The community string
(also called the community name) is sent in every packet between the management station
and a managed system.</p>
