For each probe in the system, the following fields are defined:</p> <table cellSpacing="3" cellPadding="4" width="80%" border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="30%"><strong>Status</strong></td> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="70%">Displays whether the event type for the probe is <em>Normal/OK</em>, <em>Warning/Noncritical</em>, or <em>Critical/Failure</em>.</td> </tr> <tr> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="30%"><strong>Probe Name</strong></td> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="70%"><font color="#000000">Displays the alphanumeric text that uniquely identifies a temperature probe; for example, <i>Chassis Backplane</i>. </font></td> </tr> <tr> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="30%"><strong>Reading</strong></td> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="70%"><font color="#000000">Displays a snapshot of temperature captured by the probe in degrees Celsius measured by the probe at a given time.</font></td> </tr> <tr> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="30%"><strong>Minimum Warning Threshold</strong></td> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="70%"><font color="#000000">Displays the lowest acceptable temperature that is recommended for system operation. Values that exceed this temperature result in critical/failure events.</font></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <h4>Configure Thresholds for a Particular Temperature Probe</h4> <p>To configure values for a particular temperature probe, click the underlined name of the probe. A configuration dialog appears, stating the name of the probe you are configuring. You can configure the following three values for a temperature probe. If you select default, you cannot configure the other two values.</p> <table cellSpacing="3" cellPadding="4" width="80%" border="0"> <tr> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="30%"><strong>Threshold Settings</strong></td> <td vAlign="top" align="left" width="70%">Select the radio button for either <em>Set to Default</em> or <em>Set to Values</em>. If you click <em>Set to Default</em>, the default warning thresholds will be in effect for this temperature probe.
